Sometimes we don’t have all the answers and that’s okay. I hate that I don’t know what to expect on this journey into my First year at Uni but I’m learning to embrace the uncertain wave that’s coming my way. Somehow I find that God always has a way of placing things right where they need to be, when they need to be.
My sister always says ‘there’s no point in worrying because by doing that, you’re implying God can’t elevate your situation.’ It definitely does imply a lack of trust – not just in God but in ourselves. The lack of belief that we aren’t strong enough to withstand anything that comes our way because we wouldn’t be the target if God knew we couldn’t take it. I try to see it within more modern settings:
Murtala Mohammed wouldn’t have been assassinated if he hadn’t been an asset to Nigerian History through his extensive plans to restore public confidence in the government.
Lee Harvey Oswald wouldn’t have shot JFK if he wasn’t an asset to American History through his authorisation of the Civil Rights Act.
Lastly (and definitely more relevant to our times, LOL), Meek Mill wouldn’t have gone after Drake if he wasn’t one of the hottest rappers in the game right now.
All in all, there is a reason for every experience endured. I believe by relying on God, I’ve not only discovered a new found peace of mind, but things begin to fall into place. Slowly but surely.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
