RISE
Then Jesus said to him, โRise and go; your faith has made you well!โ
– Luke 17:19 –
Itโs your faith that enables you to get up each day and do, that faith is what sustains you and is your bread. As Vanessa Inyang so beautifully shared with me, โpeopleโs lives depend on what the Lord saysโ. We need to have faith in His word – that it is true, it is ye and amen.
RUN
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
– Habakkuk 2:2 –
Run with the vision. Let the Holy Spirit teach you at what pace – but run nonetheless. Move when you need to move, take breaks when you need to take breaks. Running (and doing so well) takes a lot of training and the Holy Spirit will be your trainer. Heed to his advice and your running technique will be perfectly aligned to Godโs will for your life.
WALK
โCome and join me,โ Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus
– Matthew 14:29 –
Immerse yourself in Jesus – full and utter surrender. He is the living water and He will give you the power and ability to walk on water as He did; soaring in every circumstance, giving you the right words to say, the right words to write, the right things to do. He will guide you and he does so as a result of the level of faith you have in him.
REPEAT
Keep rising, running, walking – make it a continuous activity whereby your faith never wavers and you act upon Godโs promises for you (whether that be through prayer, writing that blog post, having that conversation, listening to that sermon, reading that book). Repeat the process to the point where you are able to walk alongside him and it becomes a routine – something you donโt even have to think twice about doing (cause I mean we just know how to walk). It will just happen and will be continuously stretched and renewed and refined by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
